HOW TO DISPLAY AND READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES WITH NGS SCAN TOOL

Diagnostic Trouble Code Inspection

1. Connect the SST (NGS tester) to the data link connector-2.
2. Refer to the manufacturer-provided instruction manual for the NGS tester operation.

NOTE: Some DTCs are detected only when the engine is running. Before checking the DTCs, start the engine.

3. Start the engine.




4. Select "DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES" function and press TRIGGER.
5. When "SYSTEM PASSED (NO DTCs AVAILABLE)" is displayed, all systems monitored are judged okay.
6. When any of the diagnostic trouble codes is displayed, carry out troubleshooting according to the code.
7. When "UNABLE TO PERFORM TEST/FUNCTION NOT RESPONDING/NOT EQUIPPED CHECK IGNITION STATUS VERIFY CABLE REQUIREMENTS CHECK CABLE CONNECTIONS" is displayed, check connection of the NGS tester.
8. After all problems have been repaired, carry out "After repair procedure." (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC STRATEGIES)
