DESCRIPTION

The following customer complaints could be caused by an excessively worn valve face:

^ Rough idle
^ Lack of power
^ Poor acceleration
^ Engine speed does not increase

The intake valve has been modified. Customers complaining of this subject should have their vehicle inspected and repaired according to the following procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer complaint.

2. Check compression according to the Workshop Manual section B (01).

^ If compression is low, adjust valve clearance and re-check compression.

^ If compression is still low, replace all of the intake valves with modified parts.

3. Verify repair.
