1) Fresh air duct
2) Air cleaner
3) Air cleaner element
4) Mass air flow sensor
5) Air hose
6) Accelerator cable
7) Throttle body
8) IAC valve
9) Intake manifold stay
10) Intake manifold
11) Purge solenoid valve
12) PRC solenoid valve
13) EGR boost solenoid valve
14) VTCS solenoid valve (California emission regulation applicable model)
15) Intake air temperature sensor
INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FS]
Warning: When the engine and Intake-air system are hot, they can badly burn. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing or Installing the Intake-air system.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the engine coolant from radiator.
3. Remove in the order indicated above.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
5. Refill the engine coolant to radiator.
Intake Manifold Removal Note
Warning:
- Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.
- Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious Injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes.
- To remove the intake manifold, remove the fuel distributor, EGR pipe, and EGR valve.
Intake Manifold Installation Note
- To install the intake manifold gasket, make sure that the convex side of gasket is faced to the intake manifold side.
