Air Bag Systems: Description and Operation

The air bag system provides, increased protection for the driver and passenger in an accident when used with the seat belt system. If the vehicle suffers a frontal crash or a side crash, air bags equipped in the steering wheel or seat will inflate to protect the driver and passenger by reducing the shock of the collision.

- Driver-side air bag module
- Passenger-side air bag module

- Clock spring
