- When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) indication, O/D OFF indicator light flashing, and PCM memory for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to the following flowchart.
- If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC.
- If no DTC exists, MIL does not illuminate, and O/D OFF indicator light flashes, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting.
