After Repair Procedure

AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [GF4A-EL]

Caution
- After repairing a malfunction, perform this procedure to verify that the malfunction has been corrected.
- When this procedure is carried out, be sure to drive the vehicle at lawful speed and pay attention to the other vehicles.

1. Connect the SSTs (NGS tester) to the DLC.
2. Turn the ignition key to ON (engine OFF).
3. Select the clear code function and clear the DTC.
4. Perform the following DTC inspections to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
- For P0705
i. Start the engine.
ii. Access RPM and TR PIDs using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iii. Drive the vehicle in each range (P. R, N, D, 2, and 1) for 100 seconds or more under the following condition.
- RPM PID: 650 rpm or above
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0706
i. Start the engine.
ii. Access RPM, VSS, TR PIDs using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iii. Drive the vehicle in each range (D, 2, and 1) under the following conditions for 100 seconds while monitoring PIDs.
- RPM PID: 650 RPM or above
- VSS PID: 20 km/h (12 mph) or above
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0710
i. Start the engine.
ii. Access VSS PID using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iii. Drive the vehicle under the following condition for 100 seconds or more while monitoring PID.
- VSS PID: 20 km/h (12 mph)
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0711
i. Decrease ATF temperature to 20°C (68°F) or below.
ii. Start the engine.
iii. Access VSS PID using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iv. Drive the vehicle under the following condition for 430 seconds or more while monitoring PIDs.
- VSS PID: 60 km/h (37 mph)
v. Go to Step 5.
- For P0715
i. Start the engine.
ii. Access VSS PID using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iii. Drive the vehicle under the following condition for 1 second or more while monitoring PID.
- VSS PID: 41 km/h (25 mph) or above
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0731
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine and ATX.
iii. Access VSS, TP V, and TR PIDs using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iv. Drive the vehicle under the following condition for 15 seconds or more while monitoring PIDs.
- VSS PID: Within 8 km/h (5 mph - 48 km/h (30 mph)
- 1 GR
- TR PID: O/D
- TP V PID: 1.1 V or above
v. Repeat Step iii five times.
vi. Go to Step 5.
- For P0732
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine and ATX.
iii. Access VSS, TR, TSS, and TP V PIDs using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iv. Drive the vehicle while monitoring PIDs.
- VSS PID: Within 10 km/h (6 mph)87 km/h (54 mph)
- TR PID: O/D
- 2GR
v. Repeat Step iii four times.
vi. Go to Step 5.
- For P0733
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine and ATX.
iii. Access VSS and TR PIDs using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iv. Drive the vehicle under the following conditions for 5 seconds or more while monitoring PIDs.
- VSS PID: Within 27 km/h (17 mph)48 km/h (30 mph)
- 3GR
- TR PID: O/D
v. Go to Step 5.
- For P0734
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine and ATX.
iii. Access VSS, and TR PIDs using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iv. Drive the vehicle under the following conditions for 15 seconds or more while monitoring PIDs.
- VSS PID: Within 77 km/h (48 mph - 104 km/h (64 mph)
- 4GR
- TR PID: O/D
v. Go to Step 5.
- For P0740
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine and ATX.
iii. Access VSS, TR, and TCC PIDs using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iv. Drive the vehicle under the following conditions for 15 seconds or more while monitoring PIDs.
- VSS PID: Within 76 km/h (47 mph - 104 km/h (64 mph)
- 4GR
- TR PID: O/D
- TCC PID: 100 %
v. Go to Step 5.
- For P0743
i. Start the engine.
ii. Drive the vehicle in D range and make sure that the gears shift smoothly from 1GR to 4GR and TCC is operated. Refer to Road Test Procedures in Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Testing and Inspection.
Road Test Procedures
iii. Go to Step 5.
- For P0745
i. Start the engine.
ii. Drive the vehicle in D range 1 GR.
iii. Go to Step 5.
- For P0750, P0755, P0760, P1765
i Start the engine.
ii Drive the vehicle in D range and make sure that the gears shift smoothly 1GR to 4GR. Refer to Road Test Procedures in Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Testing and Inspection.
Road Test Procedures

iii. Go to Step 5.
5. Gradually slow down and stop the vehicle.
6. Make sure that the repaired DTC does not recur.
