Without Scan Tool

1. After installing a new SAS control module, verify that the air bag system warning light flashes continuously approximately 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON position.
2. If a diagnostic trouble code is indicated, perform the appropriate AIR BAG SYSTEM ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC. (See Air Bag Systems Testing and Inspection Procedures.)Testing and Inspection
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position then back to ON position while the air bag system warning light is flashing continuously.
4. If the procedures have been performed correctly, the air bag system warning light illuminates, then goes off after approximately 6 seconds.
5. If it does not go off, perform the deployment authorization procedure again.
