How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

FOREWORD





- When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) indication, O/D OFF indicator light flashing, and TOM memory for diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to the following flowchart.
- If the DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC.
- If not DTC exist, MIL does not illuminate, and O/D OFF indicator light flashes, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting.
