- When the customer reports vehicle malfunction, check the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) indication, HOLD indicator light flashing, and PCM memory for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to the following flowchart.
- If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC.
- If no DTC exist, MIL does not illuminate, and HOLD indicator light flashing, and HOLD indicator light flashes, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting.
