Moulding
1. Remove as indicated in the table.
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Windshield Molding Removal Note
1. Use a molding remover to remove the windshield molding.
Windshield Molding Installation Note
1. Verify that the clips on the body and the molding are not damaged.
- If they are damaged, replace them as follows:
1. Mark the mounting points of the clips.
2. Remove the clips from the body.
- If necessary, cut the sealant with a rasor to remove the clips.
- Do not cut the sealant between the glass and the body.
3. Remove the double-side adhesive tape while heating it with a hot-air blower.
4. Clean and degrease the adhesion surface of the body. Remove any remaining sealant that is not between the glass and the body.
5. Stick the clips at the marks on the body.
6. Apply primer to the shaded area as shown in the figure and allow it to dry for approximately 30 minutes. Keep the area free of dirt and grease, and do not touch the surface.
Hardening Time Of Sealant:
7. Apply a bead of sealant as shown.
- If necessary, reshape the sealant with a spatula.
2. Align the upper corners of the molding and attach the upper clips 1 to the body.
3. Working from top to bottom, attach the side clips 2.
4. After installing the molding, inspect for gaps between the body and the molding, and between the glass and the molding.
- If there is a gap, secure the molding, with adhesive tape until the sealant hardens.
