Using SST (NGS Tester)
CAUTION: The PCM terminal voltages vary with change in measuring conditions and vehicle conditions. Always carry out a total inspection of the input systems, output systems, and PCM to determine the cause of trouble. Otherwise, a wrong diagnosis will be made.PCM Inspection Using the SSTs (NGS tester)
NOTE:
- PIDs for the following parts are not available on this model. Go to the appropriate part inspection page.
- ECT sensor (Water temperature sender unit)
- CMP sensor
- Main relay
1. Connect the NGS tester to the DLC-2.
2. Turn the ignition switch on.
3. Select the "PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD" function on the NGS display and press TRIGGER.
4. Select the appropriate PID on the NGS display and press START.
5. Measure the PID value.
- If PID value is not within the specification, follow the instruction in Action column.
NOTE:
- Perform the SIMULATION TEST for the output device after PID/DATA measurement is completed.
- The simulation items that are used in the system inspection are as follows.
- A/C RLY
- FAN 2
- FAN 3
- FP RLY
- IACV
- PRCV
- PRGV
- SEGRP
