Cooling System: Testing and Inspection

ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION
1. Remove the radiator cap.

2. Connect a radiator tester and the SSTs to the radiator reservoir filler neck.
3. Apply 157 kPa (1.60 kgf/cm2, 22.8 psi) of pressure to the system.

Caution: Applying more than 157 kPa (1.60 kgf-cm, 22.8 psi) of pressure can damage the hoses, fittings, and other components, and cause leakage.

4. Verify that the pressure is held.
- If not, inspect the system for coolant leakage.
