Mode 4 (EVAP System Repair Verification Drive Mode)

NOTE: Performing Mode 1 before Mode 4 is not necessary.

1. Verify all following conditions are met. All conditions must be within specifications before engine is started to initiate the EVAP system test.
- Engine coolant temperature is -10 °C {14 °F} - X °C {X °F} (X, the ECT upper limit, is determined according to the barometric pressure as shown in the graph below.)
- Intake air temperature is -10 - 55 °C {-50 - 131 °F}.
- Barometric pressure is 72.0 kPa {540 mmHg, 21.3 in Hg}.
- Fuel tank level is 0.5 - 2.5 V.

2. Verify all accessory loads (A/C, headlights, blower fan, rear window defroster) are off.
3. Start the engine and race it at 3,500 rpm to warm up completely.

4. Drive the vehicle as shown in the graph.
5. Stop the vehicle and access to ON BOARD SYSTEM READINESS menu to check the Drive Mode completion status.
- If completed, RFC changes from NO to YES.
- If not completed, turn the ignition key off, then go back to Step 1.

6. Access the DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS menu to check the monitor results. If "MEASs" are not within specification, repair has not been completed.
7. Verify no DTCs are available.
