Engine - Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

NOTE: When the ECT sensor is difficult to remove, remove the cylinder head cover (RH). (See CYLINDER HEAD GASKET REPLACEMENT.)




1. Remove the ECT sensor using the SST.
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque: 16 - 23 N.m {1.6 - 2.4 kgf.m, 12 - 17 ft.lbf}
