How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL), O/D OFF indicator light (4AT) AT warning light (Sport AT) flashing, and PCM memory for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to following flowchart.
- If the DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC.
- If the DTC does not exist, MIL does not illuminate, and O/D OFF indicator light (4AT) AT warning light (Sport AT) flashes, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting.
