OIL PUMP INSPECTION

Rotor Clearance Inspection

1. Measure the following clearances. Replace the rotor or oil pump body as necessary.





Standard tooth tip clearance: 0.0130 - 0.206 mm (0.0051 - 0.0081 inch)
Maximum tooth tip clearance: 0.30 mm (0.012 inch)





Standard Outer Rotor-to-oil pump body clearance: 0.113 - 0.186 mm (0.0045 - 0.0073 inch)
Maximum Outer Rotor-to-oil pump body clearance: 0.22 mm (0.009 inch)





Standard side clearance: 0.035 - 0.095 mm (0.0014 - 0.0037 inch)
Maximum side clearance: 0.14 mm (0.006 inch)

Plunger Spring Inspection








1. Apply pressing force to the pressure spring and measure the spring height.

Pressing force: 97.68-107.48 N (9.96-10.96 kgf, 21.9-24.11 ft. lbs.)
Standard height 33.50 mm (1.319 inch)
