Oil Filter: Service and Repair

OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT






1. Remove the oil filter using the SST.
2. Use a clean rag to wipe off the mounting surface on the oil filter body.
3. Install the oil filter and tighten it by hand until the O-ring contacts the cylinder block.
4. Tighten the filter 1 and 1/6 turns by using the SST.
Tightening torque: 14-17 N.m {1.4-1.8 kgf-m, 11-13 ft-lbf}
5. Start the engine and inspect for oil leakage.
6. Inspect the oil level.
Add oil if necessary.
