Crankshaft Inspection

CRANKSHAFT INSPECTION





1. Measure the crankshaft runout. If the crankshaft runout is not as specified, replace the crankshaft.
Runout 0.04 mm (0.0016 inch) max.





2. Measure the journal diameter in X and Y directions at the two points (A and B) as shown.
^ If the journal diameter is not as specified, replace the crankshaft or grind the journal and install the undersize bearing.





Main Journal
Out-of-round 0.05 mm (0.0020 inch) max.
