DESCRIPTION
Some customers may complain of lack of air conditioner cooling performance and / or a noticable temperature fluctuation (cool-warm-cool) from the vents. The cause may be due to improper logic control of the AC amplifier.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle inspected and if necessary, repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Ensure ignition switch is off and key is removed from ignition switch.
3. Locate A/C amplifier on left side of blower case near accelerator pedal.
4. Remove 3 screws attaching A/C amplifier to blower case.
5. Remove harness anchor from A/C amplifier.
6. Disconnect harness connectors from A/C amplifier.
7. Replace with new A/C amplifier. To install, reverse removal procedure.
8. Verify that there is no noticable temperature fluctuation (cool-warm-cool) from the vents.
NOTE:
Make sure customer is aware that maximum cooling efficiency is achieved by setting temperature blend dial to MAX cool & "FRESH / RECIRC" mode to "RECIRC".
