SQUEAKING NOISE FROM UNDER DRIVER SEAT LIFTER LINK

DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may exhibit a squeaking noise coming from under the driver seat when entering, exiting the vehicle or while driving the vehicle around a corner.

Customers having these concerns should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer complaint.

2. Position the seat lifter to highest position.

3. Remove the seat assembly according to the appropriate MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual.

4. Place the seat on its side on a clean surface.





5. Apply Molybdenum spray grease (B) between the shaft (A) and side frame (C).

NOTE:
Be sure to apply the spray grease to both sides.

6. Reinstall the driver seat.





7. Operate the seat lifter several times in order to spread the grease.

8. Verify repair.
