Vehicle Lifting and Jacking
JACKING POSITIONS, VEHICLE LIFT (2 SUPPORTS) AND SAFETY STAND (RIGID RACK) POSITIONSJacking Positions
WARNING: Improperly jacking a vehicle Is dangerous. The vehicle can slip off the lack and cause serious injury. Use only the correct front and rear jacking points and block the wheels.
- Use safety stands to support the vehicle after it has been lifted.
Front
NOTE: Before setting the jack under the vehicle, place boards (approx. 20 mm {0.78 in} thick) under the front tires so that the bumper does not interfere with the jack.
- At the center of the front cross member.
Rear
CAUTION: Place a board (approx. 20 mm {0.78 in} thick) between the rear cross member and the jack to prevent damage to the cross member.
- At the center of the rear cross member.

WARNING: Unstably lifting a vehicle is dangerous. The vehicle can slip off the and cause serious injury and/or vehicle damage. Make sure that the vehicle is on the horizontally by adjusting the height of support at the end of the arm of the lift.

- Both sides of the vehicle, on side sills.
