Shift-Lock Inspection

SHIFT-LOCK INSPECTION
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (engine off).
2. Verify that the selector fever is in the P position.





3. Without the brake pedal depressed, verify that the selector lever cannot be shifted from the P position.
4. Depress the brake pedal and verify that the selector lever can be shifted from the P position. If there is any malfunction, inspect the selector lever component.
