Body - Squeaking Noise From Driver's Side of Dash

DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit a squeaking noise from around the driver-side of the instrument panel. The driver-side dash panel under the cowl grill and cowl panel can become twisted and make contact, causing the noise.
As a mass production change, a spot weld has been added where the cowl panel meets the dash panel. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Remove both front wiper arms. Refer to Workshop Manual section 09-19 WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION.
3. Remove the cowl grill. Refer to Workshop Manual section 09-16 COWL GRILLE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION.
4. Apply waterproof spray grease to mating surfaces between the dash panel and cowl panel as indicated by the circles in the following figure.
NOTE:
^ Use locally sourced waterproof spray grease.
5. Assemble the parts in the reverse order of removal.
6. Verify repair.
