Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Configuration
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) CONFIGURATION
WHEN REPLACING WHEEL UNIT
NOTE: After the wheel unit replacement, registration of the wheel unit identification codes must be performed automatically according to the following procedure.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, then turn off.
2. Leave the vehicle with the engine off for 15 min or more .
3. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more for 10 min or more .
4. After driving for 10 min , verify that the TPMS warning light has neither flashed nor illuminated.
WHEN REPLACING TPMS CONTROL MODULE
CAUTION: After the TPMS control module is replaced, be sure to configure it by following the manual-registration procedure.
NOTE: To configure the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), the As-built data sheet and is needed.
1. Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2.
2. Select "Module Programming" from the WDS or equivalent menu.
3. Select "Programmable Module Installation".
4. Select "TPM".
5. Input the vehicle data on the As-Built data sheet.
6. Verify that DTC B2477 is not displayed.
- If the DTC is displayed, configure the TPMS control module again.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, then turn off.
8. Leave the vehicle with the engine off for 15 min or more.
9. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more for 10 min or more.
10. After driving for 10 min, verify that the TPMS warning light has neither flashed nor illuminated. light has neither flashed nor illuminated.
