DESCRIPTION





This information supersedes all parts information relating to battery replacement recommendations for RX-8. The RX-8 battery box is designed to duct fresh air around the battery, which aids in cooling to improve battery performance and reliability. The battery box and cover are essential to insulate the battery from high engine compartment temperatures.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. If necessary, replace the battery according to Workshop Manual (section 09-17 BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.





NOTE:
Install battery as shown in illustration. Improper battery installation may reduce or eliminate airflow to battery. Installing a larger battery than specified may restrict airflow and reduce battery life or performance.
