DESCRIPTION
In order to replace only the front-side of the floor mat, service parts (A) in black have been established to reuse the rear original floor mat (B). When you encounter a customer complaint on breakage or stains on the front side of the floor mat, please use these service parts to handle the customer complaint. These service parts will make the work time shorter and the labor cost less expensive.
NOTE:
Floor mats (mass production and service) have been changed since January 8, 2007, and there is no interchangeability between before and after the change.

When the service floor mat kit needs to be replaced on vehicles built prior to January 8, 2007, please order floor insulators and the service floor mat kit.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Remove the front seat. Refer to MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual section 09-10 FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
WARNING:
Make sure to follow the warnings and cautions for airbag system in the Workshop Manual.
3. Remove the scuff plate (A), the front side trim (B), and the side wall (C), then remove the rear console (D). Refer to MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual section 09-17 INTERIOR TRIM LOCATION INDEX.
4. Cut the floor mat at the location where the No. 2 cross member is fitted, then remove the cut floor mat.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to cut or damage the wiring harness routed near the scuff plate.
5. Set the new floor mat in the vehicle, then secure it with the Velcro fasteners at the rear-side of the mat.
6. Re-install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
When installing an accessory mat on top of this service floor mat, be sure to follow the instructions of the accessory floor mat for proper installation.
7. To attach the floor insulators, peel off the adhesive backing from the double-sided tape on the floor insulator and attach it to the floor covering approximately 10mm inward from the corner of console side and the No. 2 cross member side.
NOTE:
Make sure there is 10mm if clearance between the floor insulator and the corners of the floor covering.
