2007 CX-9 with VINs before JM3 TB**** ** 117348 (produced before April 1, 2007)
2006-2007 Mazda5 with VINs before JM1 CR**** ** 153483 (produced before March 1, 2007)

DESCRIPTION





Some customer may complain that seat belt retainer clips for 2nd (Mazda5) or 3rd (CX-9, Mazda5) row seat are easily broken off. As a mass-production change, the construction of the seat belt retainer clip has been revised.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Replace the broken seat belt clip with a modified one.

NOTE:
^ The seat belt clip can only be installed in one direction.

3. Verify repair.
