OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) INSPECTION [WITH VARIABLE VALVE TIMING MECHANISM] Coil Resistance Inspection1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the oil control valve (OCV) connector.
3. Measure the resistance between terminals A and B using an ohmmeter.
^ If not as specified, replace the oil control valve (OCV).
Specification 6.9-7.9 ohms [20°C (68°F)]
4. Connect the oil control valve (OCV) connector.
