Seat Back Crossmember Assembly Removal/Installation
SEAT BACK CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the console.
3. Remove the quarter trim.
4. Remove the scuff plate.
5. Remove the tire house trim.
6. Remove the aeroboard.
7. Remove the seat back bar garnish.
8. Remove the open hook lever.
9. Remove the back trim.
10. Remove the open hook.
11. Remove the rear speaker.
12. Remove the seat belt set plate.
13. Seat belt upper anchor installation bolt.
14. Remove the power retractable hardtop link bracket. (Vehicle with power retractable hardtop)
15. Half open the power retractable hardtop.
CAUTION: If the seat back crossmember component is removed with the power retractable hardtop fully opened, it may contact the middle roof and damage the roof. Half open the power retractable hardtop before removing the seat back crossmember component.
16. Remove the clips, then remove the speaker wiring harness.
17. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
18. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Seat Back Crossmember Assembly Installation Note
1. After temporarily tightening all of the bolts and nuts, tighten them to the specified torque.
Tightening torque 20.0 - 28.0 N.m (2.04 - 2.85 kgf.m, 14.7 - 20.6 ft.lbf)
