DTC U2064 [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER]

Detection Condition/Possible Cause:






CAUTION:
- DTC U2064 is registered to the instrument cluster by a request from other modules and does not indicate a malfunction in the instrument cluster itself.
- DTC U2064 may not be cleared during engine starting even if DTC clearing is done using the M-MDS. When clearing DTC U2064, execute with the ignition switch in the ON position (Engine off).


Diagnostic Procedure
1. Verify the freeze frame data according to the following procedure:




1. Connect the IDS (laptop PC) to the DLC-2.

NOTE: Freeze frame data of the instrument cluster can be displayed by the IDS (laptop PC)

2. After set up the IDS (laptop PC) (including the vehicle recognition), the following can be selected from the IDS (laptop PC) screen.
1. Select "Electrical".
2. Select "IC Service Functions".
3. Select "Freeze Frame Data".

2. Determine which unit is thought to be malfunctioning based on the freeze frame data.

NOTE:
- If several warning light illumination requests are received, they will be recorded in one freeze frame data.
- Performing the active command mode inspection for ABS/DSC while the engine is running could result in the DTC U2064 being stored in the instrument cluster.






3. Inspect the malfunctioning part.
- Repair or replace it necessary.

4. Clear the DTC from the memory.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
6. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
7. Verify that the DTC U2064 is displayed using the M-MDS.
- If DTC U2064 is displayed, go back to Step 1.
