1. Measure the gap between the hood and body.
Standard clearance
a: -1.27-2.73 mm {0.05-0.11 in}
b: -0.5-2.5 mm {-0.01-0.09 in}
c: -1.5-0.5 mm {-0.05-0.01 in}
d: -1.0-1.0 mm {-0.03-0.03 in}
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the following parts:
1. Windshield wiper arm and blade
2. Cowl grille
3. Front side turn lights
4. Front bumper
5. Front combination lights
6. Side step molding
7. Sail garnish
8. Front fender panel
5. Loosen the hood hinge installation bolts and adjust the hood.
6. Tighten the bolts.
