2006-2009 Mazda5 vehicles with VINs lower than JM1 CR**** ** 354694 (produced before Feb. 1, 2009)

DESCRIPTION





On some vehicles, the air flow control knob may come off from the ventilator grille (air vent) on the right side of the dash board. This is caused by inadequate size of the knob joint during production. The ventilator grill has been improved to prevent this concern.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Replace the ventilator grille with an improved part. Refer to MS3 online instructions or Workshop manual section 09-17 VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.

3. Verify repair.
