Multiplex Communication System

PROCEDURES FOR DETERMINING THE LOCATION OF A MALFUNCTION [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM]

PCM

1. Check the display of DTC U0101, U0121 and/or U0155, using the M-MDS. DTC TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)].) Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
2. Referring to the following table, determine the malfunctioning part of the CAN system.






ABS/TCS HU/CM

1. Check the display of DTC U0100, U0101 and/or U0155, using the M-MDS. DTC TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)]. Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
2. Access and monitor the "PCM_MSG" and 'TCM_MSG" of PID using the M-MDS.
3. Referring to the PID/DATA MONITOR, confirm the display status of the PID.PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)]. PID/DATA Monitor Table [Multiplex Communication System]
4. Referring to the following table, determine the malfunctioning part of the CAN system.






TCM

1. Check the display of DTC U0100, U0121 (AW6A-EL), U0140 (AW6A-EL) and/or U0415 (AW6A-EL) using the M-MDS.DTC TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)]. Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
2. Access and monitor the "TCM-MSG" of ABS/TCS HUICM and instrument cluster PID using the M-MDS.
3. Referring to the PID/DATA MONITOR, confirm the display status of the PID. (See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)].) PID/DATA Monitor Table [Multiplex Communication System]
4. Referring to the following table, determine the malfunctioning part of the CAN system.






Instrument Cluster

1. Access and monitor the "BS_MSG" "PCM_MSG" and "TCM_MSG" of PID using the M-MDS.
2. Referring to the PID/DATA MONITOR, confirm the display status of the PID. (see PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)]. PID/DATA Monitor Table [Multiplex Communication System]
3. Referring to the following table, determine the malfunctioning part of the CAN system.






TPMS Control Module

1. Check the display of DTC U0100 and/or U0202 using the M-MDS.DTC TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)]. Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
2. Access and monitor the "TPM_MSG" of instrument cluster PID using the M-MDS.
