DESCRIPTION





In extremely cold temperatures (ex. 0°F or colder), some vehicles may experience a parking brake lever that drops back down after it is engaged (pulled all the way up). This is caused when the ratchet grease hardens in extremely cold temperatures.

The ratchet grease has been modified at mass-production.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Replace parking brake lever according to Workshop Manual (section 04-12 PARKING BRAKE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).

3. Verify repair.
