INPUT/TURBINE SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AW6A-EL]

Warning
^ A hot transaxle and ATF can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until then are cool before replacing the ATF.


1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner component and air cleaner bracket.
3. Place the heater pipe out of the way.
4. Remove the under cover.
5. Set the mudguard in a location out of the way. (front LH)
6. Remove the splash shield. (front LH)
7. Drain the ATF.
8. Remove the oil hose, oil pipe and O-ring.
9. Remove the control valve body.

Caution
^ Do not damage the input/turbine speed sensor.






10. Remove the input/turbine speed sensor.
11. Install the input/turbine speed sensor.
Tightening torque 3.9-6.9 N-m (40-70 kgf-cm, 26-60 in-lbf)
12. Install the control valve body.
13. Apply ATF to a new O-ring and install it on the oil pipe.
14. Install the oil pipe and oil hose.
15. Add ATF to the specified level.
16. Install the splash shield. (front LH)
17. Install the mudguard. (front LH)
18. Install the under cover.
19. Install the air cleaner component and air cleaner bracket.
20. Perform the mechanical system test. (See MECHANICAL SYSTEM TEST [AW6A-EL].) Mechanical System Test
