Cylinder Head Assembly

Cylinder Head (LH)





Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the order shown using the following 6 steps.
(1) Tighten to 32 - 38 Nm (3.3 - 3.8 kgf.m, 24 - 28 ft. lbf)
(2) Tighten 85° - 95°
(3) Loosen 360° (one full turn) in reverse order.
(4) Tighten to 32 - 38 Nm (3.3 - 3.8 kgf.m, 24 - 28 ft. lbf)
(5) Tighten 85° - 95°
(6) Tighten 85° - 95°

Cylinder Head (RH)





Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the order shown using the following 6 steps.
(1) Tighten to 32 - 38 Nm (3.3 - 3.8 kgf.m, 24 - 28 ft. lbf)
(2) Tighten 85° - 95°
(3) Loosen 360° (one full turn) in reverse order.
(4) Tighten to 32 - 38 Nm (3.3 - 3.8 kgf.m, 24 - 28 ft. lbf)
(5) Tighten 85° - 95°
(6) Tighten 85° - 95°

Camshaft Bearing (LH)





Tighten the bearing caps evenly in the order shown in several passes.
After adjusting the camshaft end play using the thrust caps 1L and 6L, tighten the other bearing caps.
Tightening torque 8.0 - 12.0 Nm (82 - 122 kgf.cm, 71 - 106 in.lbf)

Camshaft Bearing (RH)





Tighten the bearing caps evenly in several passes in the order shown.
After adjusting the camshaft end play using the thrust caps 1R and 5R, tighten the other bearing caps.
Tightening torque 8.0 - 12.0 Nm (82 - 122 kgf.cm, 71 - 106 in.lbf)

Intake Manifold Installation Note




1. Tighten the intake manifold installation bolts in the order indicated.

Tightening torque
6 - 12 Nm {82 - 122 kgf-cm, 72 - 106 in-lbf}


Dynamic Chamber Installation Note




1. Tighten the dynamic chamber installation bolts in the order indicated.

Tightening torque
6 - 12 Nm (82 - 122 kgf-cm, 72 - 106 in-lbf}


Exhaust Manifold (LH)





Tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts in the order shown.
Tighten 19.1-25 N-m (2.0-2.5 kgf-m, 15-18 ft-lbf)

Exhaust Manifold (RH)





Tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts in the order shown.
Tighten 19.1-25 N-m (2.0-2.5 kgf-m, 15-18 ft-lbf)
