AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [RC4A-EL]Caution
^ After repairing a malfunction, perform the following procedure to verify that the malfunction has been corrected.
^ When performing this procedure, be sure to drive the vehicle at lawful speed and pay attention to the other vehicles.
1. Connect the M-MDS to the vehicle DLC-2.
2. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initial screen of the M-MDS.
^ When using the IDS (laptop PC)
1. Select "Self Test".
2. Select "Modules".
3. Select `TCM".
^ When using the PDS (Pocket PC)
1. Select "Module Tests".
2. Select "TCM".
3. Select "Self Test".
3. Verify the DTC according to the directions on the screen.
4. Press the clear button on the DTC screen to clear the DTC.
5. Perform the following DTC inspections to ensure that the DTCs have been resolved:
^ For P0705
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Depress the brake pedal, and shift the selector lever between P to D for 12 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0706
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Depress the brake pedal, and shift the selector lever between P to D for 100 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0707
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in M range, and shift the selector lever (operate up and down switches) between 1GR to 4 GR for 10 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0708
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in M range, and push the steering shift switch between 1GR to 4GR for 10 5 or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0711
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range for 6.5 min.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0712
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range for 150 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0713
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range at 20 km/h (12.4 mph) or more for 150 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0715
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range at 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for 2 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0720
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range, at 5 km/h (3 mph) or more for 3.5 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0731, P0732
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range, at 10 km/h (6 mph) or more for 2 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0733
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range, at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more for 2 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0734
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range, at 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for 2 s or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0740
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range and gradually accelerate the vehicle to verify that the TCC operates.
iv. Go to Step 6.
^ For P0743, P0748, P0751, P0753, P0758, P0761, P0762, P0763, P0766, P0767, P0768, P0743, P0841, P0846, P0871, P0882, P0960, P1759, P1764, U0073, U0100
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
iii. Drive the vehicle in D range and make sure that the gears shift smoothly from 1GR to 4GR.
iv. Go to Step 6.
6. Gradually slow down and stop the vehicle.
7. Make sure that the repaired DTC does not recur.
