5. Extension Housing Component Assembly

EXTENSION HOUSING COMPONENT ASSEMBLY

Note:
^ Do not attempt to shift the transmission until after the extension housing is properly installed.








1. Assemble in the order indicated in the table.

Oil Seal Assembly Note





1. Install a new oil seal in the extension housing using the SSTs and a hammer.

Torsion Spring Assembly Note





1. Install the torsion spring to the shift lever as shown in the figure.
