DESCRIPTION





Some customers may complain of a poor appearance or white marks (A) on the surface of the plastic shroud panel when the hood is open. Please explain to the customer that the appearance is normal and does not require repair. The glass fiber contained in the plastic sometimes looks like white marks on the shroud panel surface. This is normal and does not affect vehicle performance.

NOTE:
The shape of the white marks will vary in each vehicle.

For your information:

Mixing glass fiber with plastic before molding provides high strength and light weight, which is not possible with plastic alone. The appearance concern does not affect vehicle performance and does not require repair.
