CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER]

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Ashtray panel

b. Detach the hood release lever from the lower panel. Service and Repair

c. Front scuff plate Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

d. Front side trim Front Side Trim Removal/Installation

e. Lower panel Lower Panel Removal/Installation

f. Decoration panel Decoration Panel Removal/Installation

g. Glove compartment Service and Repair

h. PJB and PJB bracket Service and Repair

i. Console Removal and Replacement

3. Detach the PJB wiring harness clamp from the dashboard.

4. Remove the center panel module. Center Panel Unit Removal/Installation

5. Remove the wire clamp screws from the A/C unit at the positions shown in the figure.






6. Remove the air mix wire and airflow mode wire.
a. Pull the wire in the direction shown by the arrow and remove it while pressing the link tab.






7. Release the left and right tabs and remove in the order indicated in the table.










8. Remove the E-rings from the air mix wire and airflow mode wire, slide the wires in the direction shown by the arrow, then remove the wire clamps from the air mix wire and airflow mode wire.
