Bulletin No.: 09-032/08Last Issued: 09/19/2008
Subject:
RESTORING VEHICLE PERSONALIZATION FEATURES AFTER MODULE REPLACEMENT
APPLICABLE MODEL(S) / VINS
2009 MAZDA6
DESCRIPTION
During certain repairs, module replacement may be necessary. When replacing a module that retains "Personalization" feature settings (see "Affected Modules" below), the settings for that module will return to the default, if PMI cannot be performed. The customer's "Personalization" settings will need to be recorded and re-set after the module is replaced. Depending on the module condition, technicians may not be able to retrieve the customer's "Personalization" settings related to that module. In these cases, it is important to retrieve the customer's preferred setting(s) prior to the customer leaving the dealership.
AFFECTED MODULES
Refer to instructions below to retrieve/restore these features.
