Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Removal/Installation [AW6A-EL]




INPUT/TURBINE SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AW6A-EL]

WARNING:
- A hot transaxle and ATF can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until then are cool.

1. Remove the control valve body.
a. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

b. Remove the air cleaner component. Service and Repair

c. Remove the air cleaner bracket.

d. Remove the TCM. TCM Removal/Installation [AW6A-EL]

e. Clean the transaxle exterior throughout with a steam cleaner or cleaning solvents.

f. Drain the ATF. Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement [AW6A-EL]

g. Disconnect the oil hose from the transaxle.

h. Remove the oil pipe. Oil Cooler Removal/Installation [AW6A-EL]

i. Remove the control valve body cover.

j. Remove the control valve body. Control Valve Body Removal/Installation [AW6A-EL]

2. Remove the input/turbine speed sensor.






3. Install the input/turbine speed sensor.

Tightening torque
- 3.9-6.9 Nm {40-70 kgf-cm, 26-60 in-lbf}

4. Install the control valve body. Control Valve Body Removal/Installation [AW6A-EL]

5. Remove the control valve body cover.

6. Install the oil pipe. Oil Cooler Removal/Installation [AW6A-EL]

7. Connect the oil hose to the transaxle.

8. Add ATF. Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement [AW6A-EL]

9. Install the TCM. Aerodynamic Under Cover No.1 Removal/Installation

10. Remove the air cleaner bracket.

11. Install the air cleaner component. Service and Repair

12. Connect the negative battery cable.

13. Perform the "Mechanical System Test". AW6A-EL Transmission
