Power Door Lock Switch: Testing and Inspection

DOOR LOCK SWITCH INSPECTION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the inner garnish. Inner Garnish Removal/Installation

3. Remove the front door trim. Front Door Trim Removal/Installation

4. Remove the inner handle. Service and Repair

5. Inspect for continuity between the door lock switch terminals using an ohmmeter.






- If not as indicated in the table, replace the door lock switch.






6. Apply battery voltage to hazard switch terminal B, and connect terminal A to ground.

7. Verify that the LED illuminates.

- If there is any malfunction, replace the door lock switch.
