DESCRIPTION
In warmer climates, some vehicles with halogen-bulb, rear, combination light assemblies might experience heat deformation of the inner red lens. This concern may be caused by a combination of high ambient temperatures and the brake lights being on for an extended period of time.
A new rear combination light lens with higher temperature specifications is available.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Replace rear combination light(s) according MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual (section 09-18 REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
NOTE:
^ Verify the rear combination light seal is in the correct location prior to installation.
^ If equipped with satellite radio, ensure proper wire harness routing.
^ Ensure proper rear combination light torque.
^ Failure to follow proper installation instructions could result in rear combination light water leaks.
3. Verify repair.
