Roll Bar: Service and Repair




SEAT BACK CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See Removal and Replacement.)

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Console Console Removal/Installation

b. Quarter trim Quarter Trim Removal/Installation

c. Scuff plate Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

d. Tire house trim Tire House Trim Removal/Installation

e. Aeroboard Service and Repair

f. Seat back bar garnish Seat Back Bar Garnish Removal/Installation

g. Open hook lever Back Trim Removal/Installation

h. Back trim Back Trim Removal/Installation

i. Open hook Service and Repair

j. Rear speaker Rear Speaker Removal/Installation

k. Seat belt set plate Service and Repair

l. Seat belt upper anchor installation bolt Service and Repair

m. Power retractable hardtop link bracket (Vehicle with power retractable hardtop) Power Retractable Hardtop Link Bracket Removal/Installation

3. Half open the power retractable hardtop.

CAUTION:
- If the seat back crossmember component is removed with the power retractable hardtop fully opened, it may contact the middle roof and damage the roof. Half open the power retractable hardtop before removing the seat back crossmember component.






4. Remove the clips, then remove the speaker wiring harness.

5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.










6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Seat Back Crossmember Assembly Installation Note

1. After temporarily tightening all of the bolts and nuts, tighten them to the specified torque.

Tightening torque
- 20.0-28.0 Nm {2.04-2.85 kgf-m, 14.7-20.6 ft-lbf}
