Engine Lubrication: Service and Repair




OIL NOZZLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [13B-MSP]

WARNING:
- Hot engines and engine oil can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it and the engine oil have cooled.
- A vehicle that is lifted but not securely supported on safety stands is dangerous. It can slip or fall, causing death or serious injury. Never work around or under a lifted vehicle if it is not securely supported on safety stands.
- Continuous exposure to USED engine oil has caused skin cancer in laboratory mice. Protect your skin by washing with soap and water immediately after working with engine oil.

1. Complete the BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION. Before Service Precaution

2. Remove the engine cover. Service and Repair

3. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

4. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

5. Drain the engine coolant. Service and Repair

6. Remove the front suspension tower bar. (MT) Front Suspension Tower Bar Removal/Installation - MT

7. Remove the extension manifold (upper, lower) and oil filler pipe. Intake-Air System Removal/Installation

8. Remove the metering oil pump No.1 and No.2. Service and Repair

9. Remove the fuel injector and fuel distributor component (intake manifold side). Service and Repair

10. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

11. Install in the reverse order of removal.

12. Refill the engine coolant. Service and Repair

13. Start the engine and confirm that there is no oil leakage.

- If there is oil leakage, repair or replace the applicable part.

14. Inspect the oil level. Testing and Inspection

15. Inspect for engine coolant leakage. Engine Coolant Leakage Inspection









Oil Tube Removal Note

1. Record the routing of the oil tubes when removing so that they can be re-installed in the same routing condition.

2. Remove the oil tubes.
