Component Tests and General Diagnostics





DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION [AUDIO]

LCD Inspection

1. Switch the ignition to ACC or ON.

2. Turn the audio unit power to on.

3. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch, simultaneously press the TUNE/TRACK up switch for 0.2 s or more.






4. Inspect according to the following table:





5. To stop the diagnostic assist function, ignition is switched to off or turning off the audio unit power.

Switch Inspection

1. Switch the ignition to ACC or ON.

2. Turn the audio unit power to on.

3. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch, simultaneously press the CLOCK switch for 0.2 s or more.






4. Inspect according to the following table:





5. To stop the diagnostic assist function, ignition is switched to off or turning off the audio unit power.

Dial Switch Inspection

1. Switch the ignition to ACC or ON.

2. Turn the audio unit power to on.

3. While pressing the AUTO-M switch, simultaneously press the Preset 1 switch for 3 s or more.






4. Inspect according to the following table:





5. To stop the diagnostic assist function, ignition is switched to off or turning off the audio unit power.

Speaker Inspection

1. Switch the ignition to ACC or ON.

2. Turn the audio unit power to on.

3. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch, simultaneously press the AUTO-M switch for 0.2 s or more.






4. Inspect according to the following table:





5. To stop the diagnostic assist function, ignition is switched to off or turning off the audio unit power.

Radio Reception Condition Inspection

1. Switch the ignition to ACC or ON.

2. Turn the audio unit power to on.

3. Tune in the radio.

4. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch, simultaneously press the Preset 2 switch for 0.2 s or more.






5. Inspect according to the following table:

CAUTION:
- Even if the system is normal, radio reception may be difficult depending on where the system is inspected (indoors/outdoors, or conditions at the location). Before inspecting the system, verify that radio reception is adequate.
- When performing the inspection, select the best area for receiving radio frequencies.





6. To stop the diagnostic assist function, ignition is switched to off or turning off the audio unit power.
