Mirrors: Testing and Inspection

POWER OUTER MIRROR INSPECTION

Mirror glass adjustment

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the inner garnish. Inner Garnish Removal/Installation

3. Remove the front door trim. Front Door Trim Removal/Installation

4. Remove the power outer mirror. Power Outer Mirror Removal/Installation

5. Apply battery positive voltage to the power outer mirror terminals and inspect the operation of the power outer mirror.






- If not as specified, replace the power outer mirror.





Heated outer mirror

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the inner garnish. Inner Garnish Removal/Installation

3. Remove the front door trim. Front Door Trim Removal/Installation

4. Remove the power outer mirror. Power Outer Mirror Removal/Installation

5. Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table using a circuit tester.






- If not as indicated in the table, or if the resistance is not within the specification, replace the power outer mirror.
