Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Collect the refrigerant. Refrigerant Charging
3. Drain the engine coolant. Service and Repair
4. Remove the following parts:
a. Front bumper Front Bumper Removal/Installation
b. Seal board upper Upper Seal Board Removal/Installation
c. Closing plate Shroud Panel Removal/Installation
d. Shroud upper plate Shroud Panel Removal/Installation
e. Cooling fan component Service and Repair
f. Radiator Service and Repair
CAUTION:
- If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.
5. Remove in the order indicated in the table. Do not allow compressor oil to spill.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
7. Perform the refrigerant system performance test. Refrigerant System Performance Test
Condenser Installation Note
1. After replacing the condenser, add compressor oil to the refrigeration cycle.
Supplemental oil amount (approx. quantity)
- 15 ml {15 cc, 0.51 fl oz}
