Clutch Pedal Removal/Installation [G35M-R]

CLUTCH PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [G35M-R]

CAUTION:
- Fluid will damage painted surfaces. Be careful not to spill any on painted surfaces. If it is spilled, wipe it off immediately.

1. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

3. Remove the battery component. (ex: battery, battery tray and PCM component) Removal and Replacement

4. Separate the steering shaft. Steering Wheel And Column Removal/Installation - Without Advanced Keyless Entry And Push Button Start System Steering Wheel And Column Removal/Installation - With Advanced Keyless Entry And Push Button Start System

5. Separate the clutch pipe and reserve hose. Clutch Master Cylinder Removal/Installation [G35M-R]

6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

8. Fully depress the clutch pedal, and verify that the engine starts.









Clutch Master Cylinder Removal Note

1. Rotate the clutch master cylinder in the direction shown and remove.






2. Press on the tabs on the left and right sides of the push rod using a flathead screwdriver and remove the rod.






Clutch Master Cylinder Installation Note

1. Push the push rod in until the tabs lock.






2. Rotate the clutch master cylinder in the direction shown until it stops.






Clutch Pedal Component Installation Note

1. Install the clutch pedal component.






Tightening torque
1 19-25 Nm {2.0-2.5 kgf-m, 15-18 ft-lbf}

2. Add the clutch fluid, bleed the air, and inspect for leakage after the inspection. G35M-R

3. After installing the clutch pedal component, inspect/adjust the clutch pedal. Clutch Pedal Inspection/Adjustment [G35M-R]

Starter Interlock Switch Installation Note

1. Insert the new starter interlock switch into the pedal bracket hole in the direction indicated by arrow A.






2. Slide the starter interlock switch pressing it in the direction indicated by arrow B until it is locked.






3. Fully depress the clutch pedal in the direction of arrow C, and verify that a click sound from the starter interlock switch is heard.

Clutch Pedal Position Switch Installation Note

1. Insert the new clutch pedal position switch into the pedal bracket hole until the switch stops.






2. Rotate the clutch pedal position switch 45° clockwise.






3. Verify that the clutch pedal position switch is locked securely.
